Plano Outdoor Kitchen Installation

• Entertain without leaving the party. Cook, serve, and chat with your guests instead of being stuck inside the house and away from the action.
• Keep your home cooler and cleaner. Grilling outside keeps heat, smoke, grease, and cooking odors out of your indoor kitchen. This is a gamechanger in Texas summers.
• Cut down on cooking and cleanup time. With prep space, storage, and appliances in one spot, meals come together faster, and cleanup is simpler.
• Get more use out of your yard. A built-in kitchen gives your backyard a purpose and makes it a destination for family dinners, weekend gatherings, and everything in between.
• Make the most of North Texas weather. Plano's long grilling season means you'll use your outdoor kitchen far more months of the year than you might expect.
• Add style and value to your property. A thoughtfully built kitchen can complement your patio, landscaping, and lighting.

What Goes into a Custom Outdoor Kitchen Project

An outdoor kitchen is a meaningful investment, so it’s important to get all the details right. That’s why careful planning is essential. Below are the steps our licensed team takes to bring projects together.

Design: Planning the Project Around Your Backyard

Because built-in appliances can't easily be moved once they're installed, getting the layout right from the start is essential. Our design team will work directly with you to learn how you cook, how many people you usually host, and how your yard is laid out.

Then, we can draft a 3D mockup, so you can see the kitchen before construction begins. Already have a vision? We'll build a custom design from your guidelines. Prefer to explore? We'll bring inspiration and options to choose from.

Materials Built for North Texas

Plano's summer heat, heavy rain, and occasional freeze are tough on outdoor structures, so every material must be able to stay strong.

Common material choices include:

• Kitchen structure – Concrete block or steel framing finished with stone veneer, stucco, or tile, or weather-rated stainless steel and powder-coated aluminum cabinetry
• Countertops – Granite, concrete, or porcelain, all of which handle heat and weather well
• Cabinetry and doors – Stainless steel or other outdoor-rated, moisture-resistant options
• Surrounding hardscaping –  A patio, pavers, or a poured base that supports the kitchen and ties it into the rest of your yard

Making sense of all this information can be difficult. That’s why we can recommend materials that are known to hold up, all while keeping your style and budget in mind.

Appliances & Features

Your kitchen can be as simple or as full-featured as you want.

Popular additions include:

• Built-in grills
• Side burners
• Griddles
• Pizza ovens
• Smokers
• Outdoor refrigerators
• Sinks
• Bar seating
• Storage drawers
• Ice bins

Many homeowners also pair their kitchen with a pergola or shade structure, outdoor lighting, a fire feature, or new landscaping around the space. We can design and build all of it together, so everything feels cohesive.

Utilities & Permits

Outdoor kitchens often need gas, electrical, and sometimes plumbing and drainage. Running those lines safely and to code is one of the most important parts of the job, and depending on the scope, permits may be required. We'll talk you through what your project needs.

The Build

Below are the general steps we’ll take to bring your dream outdoor kitchen to life:

• Consultation and site visit – We walk your property, talk through your goals, and discuss your budget.
• Design and approval – We develop your layout and material selections and refine them with you.
• Site preparation – We clear and level the area, mark the layout, and prepare the base and utility lines.
• Construction – We build the structure, set the countertops, and install appliances and fixtures.
• Finishing touches and walkthrough – We connect utilities, test every appliance, finish and seal surfaces, clean up, and walk you through your new kitchen.

What Does an Outdoor Kitchen Cost in Plano?

There isn't a single price, as no two kitchens are alike. A compact, built-in setup may fall on the lower end of the price spectrum, while a large kitchen with premium appliances and a covered structure can cost far more.

The best way to know what your kitchen will cost is a conversation about your space and priorities. At Keane Landscaping, we’ll give you a clear estimate, and we'll help you decide where to invest and where to save.
